Credit Card Processing for Droid

ROAMpay is an application for the cell phone the provides the user with the freedom to process credit card and cash sales in a mobile business environment. ROAMpay works with many types of “smart phones”, most notably the Apple iPhone and the HTC Droid. ROAMpay is available as a small (~91KB) downloadable application from your phone’s app store, and it has many useful tools for merchants of all sizes that do business outside of a single central location.

Using ROAMpay to process sales allows the merchant to work anywhere their cell phone works. No equipment other than the phone is necessary, which eliminates the need for a power supply or any other type of connectivity to process transactions. Customers receive an emailed receipt for any transaction processed through the app, and a comprehensive, real time sales reporting feature is incorporated. ROAMpay also includes a component for use on the home or office computer, allowing the user to monitor transactions and download and print sales reports when it is most convenient.

ROAMpay allows for secure processing of credit card transactions. It is PCI (Payment Card Industry) certified. All data entered into the processing cell phone is encrypted for security before it ever leaves the phone. No data is stored within the phone itself, so all transaction information is safe should the phone become lost or stolen.

To process a credit card sale on a cell phone with ROAMpay, open the app and choose credit sale. Enter the sale information, then the customer’s card information. The billing address can be filled in manually, or using by using reverse phone lookup to auto fill the address when the user enters a publicly listed telephone number. Information can also be entered by voice, and the ROAMpay voice-to-text feature will convert it to text. Send the data, and receive instant card approval. An emailed receipt can be sent to the customer for their records. ROAMpay can also be used to process cash sales in the same way, so that receipts can be emailed and cash sales figures can be included in the reporting feature. ROAMpay can process sales offline by allowing the merchant to run the sale, and when the phone is returned to a cell coverage area the merchant is prompted to complete the processing.
